Jun. 29th, 2002 11:02 amIt has been pointed out to me several times that I don't update my journal often enough. At least someone finds me interesting. :)
Here's another Saturday spent lazing around the apartment. So far I've managed to keep the feelings of utter despondance at bay, but they keep sneaking up on me. Especially when my oh-so-helpful co-workers say things like, "You mean you don't have any friends around here? How ... sad." They don't mean it in a cruel way, but it doesn't help matters. If they wanted to help, they could invite me to things. I thought the people I work with just didn't hang out much together outside of work, but I was wrong: they just don't hang out with *me*. I suppose the key word is "yet", but it's been a couple months and I'm starting to get lonely. At least I have Nathan. If I didn't have him around, I'd probably go nuts. Of course, on the other hand, without him around, I might have gotten up the nerve to suggest hanging out with some people from work over the weekend. This apartment isn't really well suited to entertaining, though. We could handle a couple people, but past that and it'll get really crowded in here, and seating will become a premium. That, and we have too much stuff to fit in this apartment, so the place is a mess. Sigh.
